What I hate about exhibitions is learning about them the last minute. This happened last Monday when a friend of mine told me about an exhibition of works by Greek and international artists will be on view at the Gennadius Library until Monday afternoon. Having no other choice, I visited the museum just half an hour before it closed its doors and saw/learned as many things as possible. Below I share with you some of the photos I took, have a look!
“Organized by NEON, an Organization for Contemporary Culture, and curated by Iwona Blazwick, OBE, director of the Whitechapel Gallery in London, the exhibition was entitled “A Thousand Doors.” The project has been inspired by and is designed to complement the history, collections and spaces of the library. The exhibition was installed throughout the Gennadius Library’s campus, both inside the library spaces and outside in the gardens. The selected works were executed in a wide range of media, which include video, sound and sculpture installations.“
